Informed policy planning is at the core of Resilience Planning’s services. We work closely with clients at various planning scales to collaborate with community members and learn what they need, complete background research, and identify relevant wise practices that address any number of planning topics including: equity, housing, climate crisis, and decolonization.
Relationship building + Facilitation
Resilience Planning is skilled at collaborating to understand community needs and build support in communities for policy plans. We do work by, with, for, and from community. We collaborate with clients to identify and map community groups with different experiences and backgrounds. Then, with clients and community members, we define the plan or project vision and values, while building relationships and partnerships. This helps to inform planning projects and build community capacity to act as project champions to ensure successful implementation.
We also know that planning work can be complex at times, so we engage and collaborate with clients and communities early to work through challenging planning conversations.
Project Management
With over 15 years of project management experience leading major policy plans, capital projects and small planning projects alike, Resilience Planning can help you delivery projects for your organization on time, on budget, and to your satisfaction to meet the needs of your community, internal departments, and council or board. We identify potential project risks early, develop mitigation strategies, and we use regular project meetings to discuss project progress, challenges, risks, and implement mitigation strategies so the project is delivered successfully.
Leadership Coaching
We work closely with leadership in client groups early in planning processes to help visualize the opportunities and impacts of planning exercises as well as discuss and overcome challenges and barriers to implementation so that decision-making going forward successfully adheres to the goals of the plan.
